Serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a big milestone in a young man’s life.  With the announcement from church leaders during General Conference in October 2012, there has been a huge wave of young men ready to serve their missions earlier than expected.  I had the opportunity to take Troy’s senior pictures back in May.  Just 8 months later, I was able to take them again, this time as he prepares to head off to Buenos Aires, Argentina to serve as an LDS missionary.  One of the first to head out at 18 years of age!  Argentina is lucky to get him!

Here is another gorgeous senior!  I absolutely loved the colors Haley put together for her shoot and had so much fun taking her pictures.  Congratulations on your graduation, Haley!

I’m sure I’ve said it before, but taking senior pictures is one of my most favorite parts of being a photographer.  These kids are so full of life, with so much ahead in their futures.  I just love capturing the excitement as they are getting ready to head off to college or whatever other adventure they may have planned.  On this particular day I got to catch up with Troy Hicks.  I took his brother’s senior pictures back in 2010 and could hardly believe we have already come two years since then.  Before I give you a peek at his pictures, I have to add that Troy is one of the kindest and most polite teenagers you’ll ever meet.  He’s definitely going places!
